In 1934 a fascinating single-tube regenerative receiver was advertised in radio magazines, called the Doerle Twinplex because it used the brand new 19 vacuum tube which contained two triodes in one glass envelope.
Of the many regenerative receives of the period, this is one of the most impressive, simple, stable and sensitive.
This is a fully built and working reproduction of the 1936 version of the Twinplex, built using both NOS and original parts dating from the 1930's and some reproduction and modern parts where appropriate.
Will directly drive a High Impedance Horn Speaker (2000 or 4000 Ohm) or Headphones
